In January 2012, Capcom-Licensed rapper and teacher RANDOM, aka MEGA RAN, with the help of Florida's own WILLIE EVANS, JR and managers MS. L. JAY & PHILLY, aka PHILLY2AZ, (both formally of Boss Lady Management) announced “The VS. (Versus) Tour;” the first interactive tour combining musical performances with video gaming tournaments. Random’s manager and Hip-Hop enthusiast, Philly, was so ecstatic with the success of the tour and for appreciation for a job well done by all the artist for help making the tour a success; Philly with the help of his partners-in-crime (DJ POT and DJ DESTRUCSHAWN) released an appreciation mixtape for the fellas. So Fuse has started a series that I think all music lovers will appreciate. They are talking to DJs about their music collection. What I like about it is that they are not just talking to any DJ from around the corner and up the block they are talking to DJs that have been in the game for a long time. Basically they recently interviewed Pete Rock, Jazzy Jeff, Rich Medina, Dabeatminerz (Evil Dee & Mr. Walt) about their record collections at their studios. As a DJ I know that I do not have every record that I want at this point in time and I know that I will probably not get them. Rich Medina says his collection consists of 30,000 records that is located in his studio and 20,000 located in his mother's house. His most valuable record is a signed copy of “Yellow Fever Fela” Jazzy Jeff  tells a story that he never had lunch because he saved all his money to buy records and how he met Will Smith. He also tells a story about going record shopping with Kenny Dope

As a DJ I appreciate good music and good Mixes, Every summer I look for certain CD’s to come out.
